The Dakota Ridge Gallery in Jim Thorpe will present photographs by State College photographer Matt Dallos on December 15th in a show entitled Keystone Meditations, a reflection on the beauty of Pennsylvania. 

This celebration of the gallery's 5th year marks the addition of a new and complementary voice to those of the artists that are already on display. Mr. Dallos' finely crafted images are an impressive presence in landscape photographic art in the Appalachian region.

While it is common for photographers to seek out images of grandeur in the American West or abroad, which Mr. Dallos has also done, he prefers the more nuanced landscape of his native Pennsylvania. Viewing his work, it is plain to see that his home state travels have provided him with a pallette of remarkable intensity.

It is this search for the quintessential landscape images of Pennsylvania that has animated his work in recent years and which provides the focus of this exhibition.
